För en hel massa år sedan släppte Ice Cube albumet The Predator. Det var för övrigt ett jäkligt bra album, men det har tagit mig mer än ett decennium att verkligen förstå innebörden av en av texterna. It Was A Good Day heter den och handlar om hur en ”bra dag” är en dag när inget går åt helvete.
Det har inte hänt något bra idag, men jag har sluppit problem också – följaktligen har det varit en bra dag idag. En helt vanlig dag utan problem är en bra dag. Nu slipper jag visserligen pistoleros, knirk och dylikt, men principen är densamma.

Förresten, samma år, 1992, släppte Geto Boys sitt, enligt mig, bästa album – Uncut Dope – med helt jävla fantastiska låtar såsom Mind Of A Lunatic, My Mind Playin’ Tricks On Me och Damn It Feels Good To Be A Gangsta. Kom bara att tänka på det när jag såg ”hip-hop” och ”1992″ tillsammans.
